Sports Club to restart after summer break

After a long summer break RADDAG's sports club will be restarting on Saturday 4th October 2008 10am - 12 noon at Springhill Sports Centre.

Are you a disabled person wanting to take part in sport but unable to find an accessible session?

If so why not join us at our weekly multi-sports club at Springhill Sports Centre, Turf Hill Road, Turf Hill Road, Rochdale.

The sessions are open to all disabled people, their families and friends, you do not even have to be very fit or energetic, just willing to have a go.  All sports equipment is provided.

During the weekly sports sessions you can have a go at a range of sports including:-

Wheelchair Basketball
Table Tennis
Wheelchair Football
Wheelchair Rugby
New Age Kurling

Only £3 per person per session

All sessions are delivered by fully qualified CRB checked sports coaches.

Philip Bloor a member of the sports club writes “ on a Saturday morning we do all types of sport, we try to accommodate everyone so if there is a sport you like let us know and we will see what we can do!  It is for all abilities and it doesn't matter what your impairment is all sports can be adapted to make sure everyone can have a go, I have problems with my walking and sometimes use a wheelchair and I also have a learning difficulty but I go most weeks and not only enjoy the sport but the social side of meeting other people.  I would love to meet more people so why don’t you come and try it?  The more members we have the better it will be.  I hope to see you there”
