Potential Changes to Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

The Welfare Reform Bill has not yet completed its passage through Parliament, however it proposes a number of changes to DLA which could effect many disabled people. These changes are currently being debated in the House of Lords.

In the Welfare Reform Bill it is proposed that DLA will be replaced with Personal Independence Payments. The following document answers some frequently asked questions about how these changes could potentially effect people who currently receive DLA.
