Project Manager elected Chair of Rochdale Police IAG

We are delighted to report that our Project Manager, Sarah Cross has been nominated and elected as the Chair of Rochdale Police's Independent Advisory Group.

All Divisions and branches within Greater Manchester Police have Independent Advisory Groups (IAGs). They act as critical friends to Greater Manchester Police in ensuring that all police services, policies, procedures and practices are free from any kind of direct or indirect discrimination, regardless of age, disability, gender re-assignment, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. They provide an essential input to improving the quality of policing services to all communities. To effectively fight crime and protect the public we need independent advice which improves the accountability of policing through a transparent approach. Project Manager Sarah Cross said "I've been involved with the Rochdale IAG for some time now and have seen it evolve into a group that is utilised by the local police on various issues, I'm delighted that the group have elected me as their chair and look forward to carrying on the great work"
